Incomplete list of the projects implemented by the Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League is presented below.

The Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League realized a number of projects since its creation. Some parts of them were implemented along with partner organizations, some ones by organization itself. Implemented projects:
• Creation of Human Rights Resource Center
This project was carried out together with a number of human rights organizations. Within the project, for the first time in Azerbaijan, Resource Center of Human Rights Organizations was created. Project was financed by USA Embassy and Open Society Institute. Then was constituted in Lenkaran (Southern Resource Center on Human Rights) and in Khachmaz (Northern Resource Center on Human Rights). Now Resource centers act independently. Project was realized in 1998 -2000.
• Creation of alternative trade unions in Azerbaijan and social-economic rights
Within this project 10 training-seminar were arranged for employees of leading industrial fields and trade union actives and reference book titled “How to establish Trade Union organization” was prepared and published. Project was financed by USA Public Affairs Section (USPAS). Project was implemented in 1999.
• Arrangement of seminars on human rights for actives of human rights NGOs
Within this project 8 seminars were arranged for actives of human rights NGOs. USA Public Affairs Section (USPAS) financed project. Project was implemented in 1999.
• Creation of Community Basis Organizations in regions.
This project was carried out along with Women’s Rights Protection Society and Human Rights Resource Center. Within this project 46 NGOs and Community Basis Organizations (CBO) were established in 4 regions of Republic.
• Training of social-economic rights
USA Embassy in Azerbaijan financed this project. Within project 6 different manuals were published with 30,000 circulations. Within project a brochure titled “How to sign collective contracts” was prepared and published with 600 circulations. Manuals and booklets were distributed among employees and trade union actives. Project was realized in 2000.
• Publication of reference book on labor rights
Within this project large-scale reference book, in Azeri (with 2,000 circulations) and Russian (500), was prepared and published for employees and trade union actives. Westminster Foundation for Democracy financed the project. Project was realized in 2001.
• Ombudsman constitution: How to apply to it
Within this project seminars were arranged in 5 regions of Azerbaijan and book titled “Ombudsman constitution: What do we know about it” was prepared and published with 2000 circulations. Embassy of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Azerbaijan Republic financed project. Project was realized in 2001.
• Free legal aids for poor part of population in Baku and regions
Within this project population received free legal aid in Baku city and more 3 regions of country. 1800 persons got free legal aid (as well as defense in courts) within project. Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation financed project. Project was realized in 2001-2002.
• Oil funds: creation, activity and development
International Conference was held in Baku within project. At Conference , in which 130 persons took part, outstanding experts coming from USA, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries, representatives of International Currency Foundation, Transnational corporations, ambassadors and representatives of international organizations were represented. Book on results of conference, in English and Azeri, was prepared and published with 1,000 circulations. Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation financed project. Project was realized in 2002.
• Azerbaijan’s peacekeeping development. Problems and opportunities (report on oil industry)
Within this project a report was prepared on social, ecological and legal aspects of total oil operations in Azerbaijan. For preparing the report a financial support was rendered by International Alert. Project was realized in 2002.
• Publication of Booklets on Social, Economic Rights. Project was financed by Royal Norwegian Embassy Baku. Project was realized in 2002
• Organization of training seminars and publication of manuals for NGO actives
Within this project 4-days training-seminars were arranged in 6 industrial regions of Azerbaijan. Training-seminars were on labor rights. Within project reference book on labor rights (with 1000 circulations), booklet titled paying salaries and pensions (3,000 circulations) and 5 different manuals – with 50,000 circulations – Individual labor contracts, Rest and vacation right, Solution rules of individual labor disagreements, Protection of labor and health, Women’s labor right were prepared and published. Financed by the Eurasia Foundation
Within project, for the first time in Azerbaijan, Internet page was created on social-economic rights.
• The Co-operation of the South Caucasus Legal Protections Organization is very effective method for protection of drivers’ right in the regions ways. Financed by the regional office of the Eurasia Foundation. Project was realized in 2003-2004.
• «Reducing of social risk during total-oil operation» Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation financed project. Project was realized in 2004-2005.
• Legal Aid for the Protection of Labor Rights- It is financed by the Eurasia Foundation. Project was realized in 2004-2005.
• To assist in elimination of social and environmental impacts of oil operations and oil pipelines though using permanent mobile civic observation groups. Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation financed project. Project was realized in 2005-2006.
• To broaden work of mobile citizen`s response groups working along the BTC pipeline for providing legal aid for landowners, construction workers and community by construction of the BTC and SCP pipelines. Project financed by the Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation.

• The State of Assurance of Access to Information in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Organization of Monitoring and Campaigning’- Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation (Human Rights and Governance Grants Program) financed project.
• Monitoring of Assurance of Socio-Economic Rights in the Republic of Azerbaijan and Formation of Campaigning- financed by Eurasia Foundation due to funds of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
